Apply for the Women's Entrepreneurship Program

Briefly describe your idea, keeping your description non-confidential; do not disclose potentially patentable information. If you have the technology expertise, describe the problem you are trying to solve and why it is important. Also, please indicate the current state of your venture (i.r., concept, seed or startup stage). If you have business expertise, describe ways you can contribute to commercializing a biomedical or alternative energy technology, such as related skills, expertise, etc. (Up to 150 words)

Please provide an example of a problem or situation that you approached creatively (if possible, related to a business question or technology concept). How did you use your innovative and entrepreneurial passion and potential to find a solution for the problem? (Up to 250 words)

What traits and skills do you have that make you a strong founder? What skills do you hope to develop through this program, so you can be a better founder? (Up to 200 words)

Where do you see yourself in five years? How do you envision your career(s) unfolding? (Up to 50 words)

Where do you see your company in five years? What is your vision? (Up to 50 words)

What support, formal and informal, do you currently have and what support do you need? If you have a role model or mentor, describe how that person has inspired you. (Up to 100 words)

Participants in this program will be working in teams of mixed disciplines (business, science and engineering). Briefly describe yourself, including your skills and interests and what you will bring to a team. Imagine you are "pitching" and introducing yourself at the first class session. (Up to 200 words)

In addition to the answers above, please send a one-page resume and a biographical sketch (up to 300 words) to entrepreneurs@abiakron.org, as well as three professional references.
