The Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron (ABIA) is seeking standardized patients to portray patients and/or victims during simulated scenarios. The purpose is to help train our region’s healthcare providers in essential healthcare skills, casualty decontamination, and mass casualty incident management. The training sessions are held at ABIA, 47 N. Main Street, Akron.
There are many standardized patient opportunities at ABIA. These types of volunteers play a crucial role in the preparation, management, and recovery efforts.
