Value-driven Engineering
What is Value-driven Engineering?
In response to President Obama’s “winning the future” message during his State of the Union address, the Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron (ABIA) has launched a national effort in Value-driven Engineering and U.S. Global Competitiveness.
As the leader of the Value-driven Engineering effort, ABIA actively engages our nation’s leaders in various sectors to explore the promise of maintaining our country’s competitiveness through strategy to develop innovative medical devices that focus on improved clinical utility for, and ease of use by the patient or provider of care, as well as cost efficiency for the healthcare system.
